Priceless Childhood Photos in Fredericksburg, TX
“Naomi has photographed our kids over the last 8 years now, and we are lucky enough to have many priceless photos of their childhood. I fancy myself a half decent photographer, but my photos of my own kids never quite capture the magic that Naomi’s photos do. Somehow Naomi speaks their language, is able to bring out their essence, and at the same moment capture it on film. She is the “child whisperer”, and an amazing photographer. Naomi is the absolute best.”
It means so much to me when the families I photograph take the time to write about how much they value their portraits! A family I’ve photographed for many years emailed me the review above to share here on my site. Their two, precious children are now teenagers! Below are a few of my favorite photos from our early years taking photographs together.
These first two portraits, one of each of the children, were both moments of quiet reflection. Little Guy was sitting by the window, deep in thought, unaware of what was going on around him. Those sweet hands folded together and his cheeks, still with the slight roundness of toddlerhood, get me every time! What was he thinking about so deeply?
Big Sister was leaning on the windowsill of their front porch, gazing out at the yard. She caught me as I started taking photos and made eye contact. I love her folded arms and tiny smirk!
The lashes! Need I say more?
Big Sister’s early years had a lot of tongue sticking out laughs. Candid portraits of children are so cute!
In this first portrait, Little Guy needed a bit of reassurance and comfort from Mom. I love the realness of lifestyle family portraits like these. Real life moments of love and relationship, no posing.
